Does GharDesk work for flats and apartment buildings?
Yes. When you add a property, choose Flat Building or Independent House and set it to count flats as units. Each flat is one unit with its own tenant, rent and deposit.
Is it made only for PGs?
GharDesk was first built for PGs and hostels, so some screens and wording are PG style, such as the bed map. Rent, dues, receipts, deposits and reminders work the same way for a rented flat.
Does it make a house rental agreement?
The admission form and agreement in GharDesk are written for paying-guest stays. For a standard flat or house lease you may prefer your own agreement, and you can still keep rent, receipts and deposits in GharDesk.
Can I manage several buildings?
Yes. The Professional and Business plans have unlimited properties. The Starter plan covers 1 property and up to 10 flats or beds.
How much does it cost for flats?
You pay per tenant who is staying, from ₹15 per tenant per month, with a minimum of 10 tenants. A rented flat is normally one tenant, and empty flats cost nothing. If you have fewer than 10 rented flats, the minimum of 10 still applies.
Do my tenants need to install an app?
No. Only you and your staff log in. Tenants get receipts on WhatsApp, email or paper.
Does GharDesk collect rent from my tenants?
No. Payment goes directly from your tenant to you. GharDesk records it, makes the receipt and tracks dues.
